Hi, i need some help because im new to the editor...

I would like to spawn a new group consisting of two enenmy planes, on a certain time , and with a plotted route to follow, is that somehow possible?

If not, how do you guys activate new groups later in the mission, and how do you control their routes, if you dont start them airborne in the beginning of the scenario-starttime?

Can you only use missions with RPs for that?

Thanks.

PS. I have a reasonable understanding of the eventsystem...i think :-)

I can't spawn new units. There is instead "teleport unit". So put all teleporting units to other side of the globe (example south pole) and use teleport event. You can make event to make mission active. This should work.

You cant make waypoints for them, but try plotting mission area (Ref points). Depending on mission you can also make single loop mission, example for recon aircrafts that make only one single loop and return to base.

Waypoints I mean what you can make with F3 and modify altitude and speed. This is only for units ready in map example aircraft flying. You cannot, as far as I know, make this kind of waypoints for aircafts in air bases. Only missions and ref points. Am I right?

Ships and mobile land units of course can make full use of waypoints.

I actually have same question: "how do you control their routes" for aircrafts that are launched after scenario has begin.

Yes but you cannot teleport landed/docked units so that's a moot point.

Actually with new B469 YOU CAN make better route for aircrafts. Sorry for my ignorance.

Make mission (support example) plot ref points (route) click EMCON and choose yes to "engage opportunity fire". Will they engage targets on route?

I need to test this. :)

Edit: Tested support mission and engage opportunity fire. Worked like a charm. Now I can make better missions and use predefined route to target. Cool.

Ok, thanks for your answers, i think i got the idea with using RP as a kind of waypoints for units on a mission.

But do i understand it correctly, that you can not, insert/spawn an air-unit at a certain time. You have to have an airbase and let the planes take off, and assign them to a mission?

(unless you wanna risk your planes running out of fuel, because they have to be airborne, to let them respawn in another location)...

Do i get it? :-)
