Because engine is filtering pilots depending of type of unit they are drained for(pilots with air skill atre drained to fighter unit etc) i counted at lest 600 plots that are almost half trained as fighter, bomber or search pilot. I will drain all those pilots to reserve and train asap.
It will not only double my pilots training program in next two months but also as obvert say it will allow me to save couple k of HI.

Burma
Docup is using bombers to reckon my defenses in Burma. I cant stop that as he swoop with 120 fighters before bombers arrive.

Night bombings
Today i saw firs a2a night japanise victory. NF shutdown Liberator above Rabaul.
I only have two NF units (one restricted to Japan) but i am bumping J1N1 Gekko production to 50 as we speak

Night bombing HR
So far we where using HR

Night Bombings (unit limit only for air2ground missions)
A) No more than one unit performing night bombing per theater per day.
B) from 4/44 no more that two units per theater per day
C) from 3/45 no more that three units per theater per day (allies only) japan still two

I feel wrong with that HR so i proposed Docup that we will keep that HR against tactical targets(AF, ports) but we will remove that limit against strategic targets like industry.
With NF working again and changes to coordination for LBA in beta patch i think it was not fair to hold allies from using B-29 in what they where designed. It was my decision, Docup never ask me to change that but i feel better after i propose that to Docup.

Sounds sensible. Very similar to early 44 in our game when I offered to open night bombing of strategic targets.

Industry targets will go quickly, and that is the major reason I stayed in Burma so long, keeping distance between B-29s and the oil. It worked (at the price of an Army!).

I have opened new thret in tech forum

According to editor both CVL Ryuho air groups should arrive in 1 November 43.
But in my case stuck at delay 2 days.

In editor it looks that they should arrive at CVL Ryuho deck 4 days ago.
Ryuho is in service his deck is empty. But it currently anchored in base without port.
Maybe i should re base it to nearest port???

Game is scenario one with fixed reinforcements.
Beta patch 23s

I think you need to be at a port. I just had a bunch of 36 plane squadrons arrive on my CVs. They didn´t until I was at a base hex with a port. Always listed with arrival in two days as long as I was at sea.

One CV was repairing at port and the squadron for the CV arrived directly.

IJ Navy instructors accelerate training of 396 pilots from month-cycle 2

IJ Navy instructors accelerate training of 562 pilots from month-cycle 0

Is this appearing in the Op Report? I can't remember where to look for this information. So far I'm clueless about whether my pilots in TRACOM are accomplishing anything.

Problem with delayed groups fixed. Thanks JocMeister.

Burma
Lashio reinforced with full ID. Base will be hard to take right now. As Docup have now only ~1000AV against 700AV on my side (terrain x3, fort lvl 4)

I am bombing daily enemy stack at open. Loses are light but lack of flack give lot of disabled squads every day. Those troops are trying to shock attack trough river to Prome.
I think next time i will go lower na max damage effect
This is how usual raid looks.

Marshal islands

Situation look tens. KB undetected is 48h from Marshals. CV presence is confirmed as i lost search plane today from enemy CAP. But numbers of enemy flatdecks is still misery to me.
KB will stay in shadow while subs will take positions near islands and we will wait. I dont want jump there with KB and find single CVE. Cost of fuel and mostly reviling KB so far from DEI and even Salomon`s is to high for single CVE.

Marshall's
KB undetected 10 hexes from Wotje/Maoeolap.Fuel at 75%. Slow Replenisment TF 3 days from KB.Every time i sending my fast Oilers to refuel in DEI i need to move KB. Bad timing.

Docup move 3 TFs toward islands. One was build from 3 DD (probably fletcher's). Ki-49 manage to hit one of destroyers with 250kg bomb. It penetrate armor with heavy internal explosion. but damage must be light, only fires reported. No sigh of enemy carriers. Docup was providing LCAP from Maoeolap AF. I lose 4 Ki-49(flak)(4KIA) for 2 Airacobras.

Tomorrow CAs and BBs will sweep waters of Wotje/Maoeolap. No bombardment right now, AKEs will arrive to area in 3 days.

Burma
I will make map when i back home. I have few question about strategy there.
One is sure i decide to abandon Lashio and make my north defense line shorter. I will allow me to retreat full ID to Rangoon to reinforce south Burma. Prome situation is starting to be hot. I see ~100k troops in area. Maybe more. Japanese intel sucks.

I think Docup massed most of his troops in south Burma. So far i can confirm presence of 6 ID not counting regiments and tanks. But as say i Japanese Intel sucks

Japan have 5 ID + 800AV in tanks. Two more ID moving to area. One need week second two weeks.

Still no turn on mailbox

Marshals
It looks like tomorrow Docup will try to unload supplies in Wotje and/or Maoeolap. I sending two SAGs, they are positioned to end movement in both islands. and on morning to retreat Roi-Namur under CAP protection.

Both TF have Fast BB,CA and 5 DD. Goal is to clean both enemy hexes from ships. Not allow them to unload and be sure that my naval bombers not go against CAP in enemy base hex.

70 bombers (Ki-49 and B6N2 and 45 fighters(N1K2) will tomorrow attack enemy ships in area. They will fly low as i have LNav trained pilots and some crack torpedo pilots. Escort will be given by 50XP navy pilots.

Long term plan is to give enough resistance to keep both enemy bases nonoperational but alse close enough to be open to force Docup to use big boys to create local air superiority. And we know that for that he have to bring CV.

KB is waiting hidden when real players show up. I want to play for big stakes so right now i be like bee. I will sting, make him mad and impatient and i will allow him to make mistakes.

Marshall Islands
Day was partial success.

At nigh one of BB TF intercept and in series of duals sunk two Fletcher DD and 6 LST.
Unlucky he was not able to intercept all enemy cargo ships and some manage to unload supplies to Maloeap.
Lucky all cruisers and destroyers manage to rearm ammo in Roi-Namur. I still have BB Kongo with 36cm ammo so tomorrow BB Kongo two CA and 5 DD will bombard Maloeap.
BB Kirishima need to retreat to Ponape to rearm from AKEs

Day was not so successful and as i was worried my bombers fall in CAP trap above Maloeap hex. 60 plane lost for 12 enemy planes and no hits to enemy ships

I believe that Allies retreat carriers from area hooping that them will achieve goals without support. It also look that only combat ship in area is single DD Bradford. Tomorrow i will bombard Maloelap. KB still undetected will quietly wait for bigger targets. Tomorrow i hope to finally refuel KB from AOs. If i have some luck it looks that lot of enemy planes can stuck on Maoeolap.
I count 4 enemy air groups and AF must be still damaged as this will explain low numbers of planes in enemy CAP.

New Guinea
Enemy unit enter Madang. Base will fall tomorrow. I am unloading some small units in Hansa Bay maybe they will buy few days. Probably will not be able to reinforce Hansa on time.
I have some fighters escorting Amphibious TF in Hansa Bay. Fighters disobey orders and when Allies start bombing Madang 70 fighters intercept enemy sweeps. I lost 22 fighters (A6M5 and Ki-44IIc) for 5 P-47, 4 P-38 and 8 PV-1 Ventura bombers.

But i take my revenge 3 days later.I notice that for last two days all anmy BBs and criuser are patrolling Lae are. Yamato and 3 more BB get order to move at flank speed toward Milne Bay with only one order, crash and kill. During battle we sunk some big ships. During nigh air attack Yamato eat TT but damage is small, I will send Yamato to Japan to do 9/43 refit and to repair. I think no longer that 2 weeks in Shipyard is needed only 8 major damage.
As summary i will tell that that TT was low price for what that raid do. Also it was first time when Japanese combat ships where using naval radar

That is special indeed. It seems you have your opponent's number. Fighting in this are at this point in game and getting these kinds of results is pretty good. Well done.

You are still early enough in the game for those losses in assault shipping to REALLY sting. Well done!

Ouch. You're now looking at quite a long repair time for Yamato. Those ships are tough once they get hit.

Plan is to have Yamato back in fight in middle February. 3 months not perfect but it cant be worst.

Because during refit damage made outside refit procedure is repairing normally i will send Yamato to do 9/43(21 days)and 1/44(30 days) refit during that time.

I was little forced here to upgrade to 8. I change PC to new one and old one with Win7 i give to my sister. So i decide to spend money to Windows 8.

After upgrade to 8.1 i setup everything to windows start directly to desktop. Sadly Modern UI is till there and every time i pres windows button system is popping up new interface. It is not dramatic thing but it should be option to shot down it completely. I find it only useful on phones and tablets.

From problems i am experiencing is that Firefox have UI glitches with hardware acceleration on. Temporary solution is to turn of hardware acceleration in FF.
But this is not windows bug but problems with AMD drivers of my Radeon 7790.

As for game it runs smooth. I found only one problem 1h ago. If You run game in full screen mode and You have in background different windows that using flash or gif files they occasionally poping in game window. Look at picture. But i think it is also GPU driver related. Nothing game breaking only need to minimize window.

Overall experience is positive and most of bugs will be probably fixed.
Windows is ok. It is not revolution like XP-Vista but rather evolution like Vista-7.

I using it only from 2 days but i have no problem to find something. If i have chance only thing i will not want in desktop version is Modern UI

As i say earlier i upgrade to new Windows because windows 7 license is bound to old PC. So i decide to spend money to newest version(all version of 8 can be installed on multiple computers but only on one machine at time)
JocMeister, ask Yourself, do You really need new OS. If You are one of those people that need everything newest it is defiantly OS for You. If You are not one of them, You should stay with 7 and save 100$.

For people running Vista, XP or older OS, upgrade will me big step forward. For people with Windows 7 i am not so sure

16 Nov 43

Burma
Hex west of Prome. Numbers of enemy troops doubled and now it shows 60k. Estimated AV 2000.
I have only 600AV trying to retreat to Prome.
I expecting attack tomorrow. 500 fighters will CAP above in case Docup decide to sent bombers to slow me down.

In two days i will abandon Lashio. Depending of situation in south Burma i am willing also to abandon Taung Gyi

Salomon's
Battleships return to Rabaul and almost reload ammo. Only Yamato have ammo still in read.

KB
Again in anchor. I need 1-2 days to refuel. I am using that time to upgrade DB to D4Y3 version. 80% of KB DBs already flying that version.
With lack chances to use KB in combat i am not sure if ever D4Y3 will have chance to fly attack mission from KB. In month D4Y4 will enter production and will replace Y3 on carriers

17 Nov 43

Burma
Bombardment in Lashio. I have there only ID. Tomorrow base will be empty.

West of Prome allies attack. 2000AV vs 600AV. Japanese troops hold but not for long.

Salomon's
Docup is unloading troops in dot base west of Cape Gloucester. Losts of APA, AKA, xAP, Two big SAG protecting waters(BBs, CAs). I want to send my BBs to intercept them but i found that they still not reload all ammo. They also are out of op points to move them during nifght phase so they will stay at port. Meyby next time

R&D
B7A2 grace advance to 11/44

Spoiler.

It looks that next turn can be very bloody.

This is what Docup write in email 15 minutes ago when sending turn
"The anticipation of what will happen next"

I will not react so emotionally but i suspect two places of bloodbath tomorrow.

Burma
I place heavy LCAP above troops west of Prome. ~500 fighters will fly there tomorrow.

Salomon's
I prepared 2000 plane strike against enemy ships unloading in Umboi Island.
I see ther APAs, AKA, xAP, BBs, CAs
KB will rush toward Salomon ending move 6 hexes north from Umboi Island between Manus and Mussau with order to strike at that range. All search arcs are adjusted to search only north of New Britain and above Umboi Island to avoid enemy CAP traps in Salomon's.

KB alone will have 1150 planes, 200 planes will fly from Manus.
From Rabual 230 planes will sweep(Frank, George, Tojo) clearing sky above Umboi Island while 150 fighters and 200 bombers will attack from Rabaul enemy fleet.

Oh it will be blood day, turn on mail and i will be at work for at lest 6h
I will
