Is it possible to delete a unit?

France was conquered and Bearn "escaped" to Sardinia. No oil now, so it cannot reorganize. If Italy takes Sardinia, the disorganized carrier plane crashes the game no matter what happens to the carrier (escapes, captured, destroyed.)

Can you put a saved game in here, before the crash happens with instructions what you did before? It sounds like a bug, but additional information is needed.

I can add one when I get home. Is there a way you can identify them from allowing the game to send exceptions to you? Can I just attach the file?

Hi, the Madexcept auto-mails to a different address if:
- your computer has a local email client (as opposed to webmail)
- your security settings either automatically or manually let it happen

However, the game file we would like is a normal save with everything working normally, made as close as possible to just before the crash occurs. Please zip it and upload to this thread.

Thanks Ingtar.

I'll invade Sardinia tonight. Please, no comment on the game situation. I am currently messing around, exploring how certain things play out (France surrender in this case).

It's technically against the rules to disband units...

At several points in the sequence of play it is possible that units have to be destroyed because they have nowhere to go. Rather than do that "behind the player's back", the program instructs the player to use the Backspace key to destroy his own units. In a small way this is a case of: "You messed it up, so you have to implement the consequences".

1. End the current phase (last place I could save it)
2. No to include notational units
3. Enter die rolls for ships until...
4. Choose die roll to capture or destroy Bearn.

Exception occurs here. It will allow it to escape to another port.

Hope this helps!

Yes. I know deleting is against the rules normally. But this is a case of a repeatable exception that does interfere with game play.
