I ve just started my first 1.9.0.12.

In my 8th year of game, all my research stations began to be destroyed by sabotage missions. Up to 3 in the same month ...
In addition, I have two intelligence agents with respectively +18 and +33 in counter espionnage, and I only met one pirate faction.

First game with a so high rate of sabotage with only one opponent met. I didn't intercept one.

Were sabotage missions completely changed or I only have no luck ?

Happening to me as well. Very early game, only encountered one pirate faction and nobody else, haven't researched warp yet, but so far I've had my single spaceport destroyed 3 times via sabotage, even with 2 agents countering.

I'm also using DW Extended, not sure if that contributes at all.

Edit: Normal difficulty, normal pirate numbers, normal pirate strength

Not Extended here.

Diffuclty is hard, pirates are normal too.

Since I met the Ancient Guardians, it seems to be quiet - no new sabotage missions.
