screen resolution issue - 12/15/2013 12:52:03 PM

Minimum game requirement is for 1024x768; however at 768 the game is unplayable, because I cannot access the bottom buttons. I can't even start a game.

On my laptop the maximum is 1366x768. I cannot use this game despite meeting the minimum screen requirement.

This game is no use to me, and now I am out some money. Any suggestions? Perhaps a refund is in order despite the official refund policy.

Hello Issue8

Is this because the game icons are being obscured By the Windows Task bar?

Question
How do you make the game Full Screen?

I play strictly on a laptop with 1366x768 max res. Mine has always worked fine, maybe a font setting?
Don't toss the game aside, you'll be missing out. I understand your frustration but they will get it figured out.

If you are running Windows 8, it defaults to a 125% font. That may be why things are getting shoved off screen. We have also seen odd font DPI settings too. If the DPI is larger then the standard 96 it can cause issues as well. Looking at your screen on comparison to Budds your fonts are off the normal in some fashion.

Make the text on your screen larger or smaller W8/8.1

You can make the text (and other things like icons) larger without changing the screen resolution of your monitor or laptop screen. That way, you can make text easier to see and still keep your monitor or laptop set to the best possible resolution.

1.Open Screen Resolution by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, tapping Search (or if you're using a mouse, pointing to the upper-right corner of the screen, moving the mouse pointer down, and then clicking Search), entering Display in the search box, tapping or clicking Settings, and then tapping or clicking Display.

2.Choose one of the following:
•Smaller - 100% (default). This keeps text and other items at normal size.

•Medium - 125%. This sets text and other items to 125% of normal size.

•Larger - 150%. This sets text and other items to 150% of normal size. This option appears only if your monitor supports a resolution of at least 1200 x 900 pixels.

3.Tap or click Apply.

To see the new text size, close all of your apps, and then sign out of Windows. The change will take effect the next time you sign in.

Also, you can change the text size for specific items in Windows, like window title bars or tooltips, without changing the size of anything else on the screen.

2.Under Change only the text size, choose the item you'd like to change and pick a text size. If you want the text to be bold, select the Bold check box.

3.Tap or click Apply.

You'll see the change the next time you sign in to Windows.

You can also make text appear larger or smaller by changing your screen resolution, but if you're using an LCD monitor or laptop, it's a good idea to set your screen to its native resolution to avoid blurry text. This is the resolution that a monitor or laptop screen was designed to display based on its size. For more info, see Get the best display on your monitor.

If you have a 1080p touchscreen device, you might need to adjust the size of the items on your screen to make sure touch works correctly. By default, some 1080p touchscreen devices show text and other items at 150%, and some of your apps might not work at that size. To fix the problem, follow these steps:

1.Open Screen Resolution by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, tapping Search (or if you're using a mouse, pointing to the upper-right corner of the screen, moving the mouse pointer down, and then clicking Search), entering Display in the search box, tapping or clicking Settings, and then tapping or clicking Display.

2.Tap or click Smaller - 100% (default). Then tap or click Apply.

3.To see the new text size, close all of your apps, and then sign out of Windows. The change will take effect the next time you sign in.

Copied from the ever wonderful MS TechNet site just in case

Had this issue too on my ASUS Laptop

Can you run the game Windowless/Full Screen mode? or will this feature be added?

Regards
Z

I will check with Rob on selecting/forcing a full screen mode. I believe it is on the future features list, but I will verify that.
