well, I upgraded my PC few weeks ago and restarted a fresh AI game just to get back into things, about 40 turns in the game loads extremely slow now, let alone combat screen which almost freezes?
Its incredibly hard to even follow combat, I tried to mess with the capability settings and got no where, I defragged the folder (which used to actually fix the problem) now it suddenly doesn't) the game simply loads slow and plays even slower.

Problem Solved, I used capability mode for Win 98 and everything runs smooth and fine (I was testing Win 7, XP)
