Interesting peek at the IJN BB's sunk or mortally wounded by the 16/45 Mk5/6.

Allied BB's. Type 93 is the Long Lance, Type 95 is a sub torp and Type 91 is the aerial torp.

Well, one thing's for sure - Milo should start setting up wreck-diving centres on the north-western Australian coast...

This is a Rong Rance we have in the workshop at the museum. We think it might have been a training aid.

If you give me the locations of the Japanese sunken cruisers, I can map those too...but for now it looks like Port Hedland is going to be in the wreck-diving capital of the world...

The "skin" looks 3/4 or even 1 inch thick and it doesn't seem there are any internal supports. I realize they worked pretty damn well but it just seems clunky.

D-day -1. Weather permitting, we should be able to smack down Naha tonight and tomorrow.

The greater threats are the planes at Nagasaki, the WJD carriers (not yet spotted) and Kirishima.

As a JFB, that looks truly daunting. The Japanese have almost no surface combatants left!

I updated the "dive map" for Exmouth/Port Hedland to include DD,CL,CA,BB,CVE,CVL,CV

There are a lot more if you include transports and subs and smaller escorts.

The "Polar Vortex" descends on Southern California.....we plummet to 76...but it's windy so it feels more like 72.

Exposed flesh can suffer from frostbite in...let me look it up...errr...ummmm..well, just wear your sunscreen and stay safe out there.

Editrix Note: The Board wishes to apologize for any slight, besmirchment, offense or injury suffered by our dear Albanian or Mohammedan friends. The Board does not condone or support such infantile comments. Many of our best friends are Albanian, although it might be a good idea if you guys took more showers.

Air losses from the 22nd. We lost 5 Liberator GRIII on the long trip back to Chitti-chitti-gong-gong from Bangkok.

Do they have the same durability as the B-24D1?
