Hi there,

is it possible with the current events to do the following:

There are two missions: 1x Air Defence; 1x Strike Mission. The side has 48 Fighters. 24 assigned to the Air Defence Mission, 24 assigned to a Strike Mission as Bomber Escort.

If all of the Air Defence Fighters shot down, there is no longer Air Defence in the air. So it would be nice to setup missions like this: If the quantity of fighters assigned to the Air Defence Mission drops below x (e.g. 6) then shift y (e.g. 50%) from the fighters assigned to the Strike Mission to the Air Defecne Mission, if they currently not in use with the Strike Mission.

That is a really good idea. I have not found a way to do this (yet) but if there is, I would like it also, I am running into the same possible issue with my scenario.

It is a good idea to shift assets to meet the highest threat/priority.

However, I'm asking myself if this is really something I want to AI to do for me, or should I, as Comandante El Supremo d' Operacion (that's south-eastern Catabasquedoc spelling and pronunciation, in case anyone is wondering), be responsible for identifying and correcting this situation?

Where do we draw the line?

Because at some point down this path is total automation, and we will have nothing to do!

I dont want it for my forces. I want it for the enemy AI. In my Scenario my opponent has 50% of his fighters grounded because they are assigned to an strike mission. Because he has not detected my ships he do not attack me.

So my own aircrafts can do what they want. He know about my alpha strike to his air base because his AEW aircraft is in range, but all of his fighters stay tunded and awaiting there destruction. So i think the enemy AI must be more flexible. Relative missions would be on point to make the enemey AI more challenging...

Logged this as a feature request for the event editor. This would require several new triggers and conditions but the good news is that we've got some existing requests that may build toward more complex logical constructs (such as this case).

Obviously.

In my defense... I did post that at 6am this morning. I didn't even wake up until 9.
