Hi, into my 3rd PBEM and noticed some of the ship classes for the USN have the same speed rating for "Maximum" and "Curise" - e.g. the Kiwi class PG is rated at 5 hexes for both, the SC class is 8 hexes for both, etc. My question concerns the accumulation of system damage in these cases...if I move a Kiwi class PG 5 hexes, would it be susceptible to additional Sys damage (for moving at the "maximum" rate)?

Thanks for any info.

Hi Phil,
Move them as fast as you want. You're not going to catch my subs.:D
Seriously I find I usually put them in transport TF as escorts to gain experience. After couple months they are all in the 50's and ready to pound some subs. Doing this however they never move at max speed. On the occcasions I move them together as a TF I have never noticed excessive sys damage. Certainly not like DD in a FT.

Now send me a turn.;)
