When starting new games, choosing the scenario to play, choose the difficulty level for the game. When choosing the Very Easy Level, the menu notifies you that this option will be a 100% to the production for the country.
When playing the American player, Pacific Campaign, after the Japans turn is complete and when the American turn begins, a pop notice comes on the screening stating “You have chosen the Very Hard Level” Troop are now 40% reduced efficiency.
Now try the same thing in the opposite direction, choose the Very Hard Level, when it is the Americans turn, the notice pops up stating “Choosing the Very Easy Level” units now have a 40% efficiency increase.
Why is it that when you choose the Very Easy level in the game, you are then penalized with the units reduced efficiency? This is not explained in the manual. The manual states the production status for each Difficulty Level. But trying to play the Very Easy game to get a handle on the mechanics of the game, find out that oh … don’t try to use your units, they are going to be 40% reduced. Where is the “VERY EASY” level here?
