Scrolling is slow and the mouse jitters. Tried turning off vsync no use. Tried lowering graphic (lower screen resolution) details no use. Any suggestions? I have i7-2820qm, 16gb ram, win 7 64bit, and egpu 650TI 2gb.

This sounds like a video driver issue, your hardware is way more than enough. Did you try previous 1.4 beta patch?

warspite1

Same with mine - it is really annoying. Never had a problem before - including with the previous patch.

Had the same problem, disabling hex grid helped for me. Now it's as smooth as before.

I have tried that and while its better, it is still not like it was. Even with hex grid disabled (which I do not like playing with) the mouse is sometimes unresponsive - need to click a few times to make something happen and the unit movement is still slower (albeit not as bad).

I am still confused too as to what this patch is doing? I am in the middle of a game, which I can continue, so would be nice to know what exactly has changed.

Kirk has been talking about this being the best patch ever but I am not getting it I'm afraid

Maybe it was released only to keep the few posters here interested in the game - while we are kept waiting for the "best patch ever"

To clarify: it was working better with first 1.4 beta patch?

I've never had any issue before, including with the first 1.4 beta. This latest beta is the first time I've had an issue with the movement being jittery and the mouse commands not necessarily being instant.

It is mainly containing various bug and stability fixes, based on feedback and reports we got from testers on the first 1.4 Open Beta patch dated from December last year.

P.S. added older changelog back again to first post.
warspite1

What about some of the bigger problems reported? E.g. The fact Bulgaria never comes into the war? The Western Allies have more build points than they know what to do with? Shore bombardment being too powerful?

I screwed up :(

I have built a patch from wrong files and that is why you still see those problems. Kirk did a great job but because of a mix-up I didn't use the latest version of his modifications. I will post a hot-fix here latest Sunday. Really sorry about that!

I accept part off the blame for this mistake as well, rest assured we will fix this soon, and I stand by my thoughts that this is the best the game has been, once the correct files are in play that is!

Screen shot off Russia blockading German ports in the Baltic, this is taken from the version of the game, with the correct updated and rebalanced game play. This will be made available to download as a hot fix tomorrow!

New Small Garrison in game actions, the Small Garrison now has a movement allowance of 1 hex per turn, meaning that it can swap position with any other land unit, plus it can also be disbanded, but it has a major restriction,it can't be transported by RAIL!

Looks like a good solution to make the garrisons much more useful. Thx for the week end (night) shift, guys! Really excited to check the hot-fixed version out, guess that would have a even higher priority than watching the olympics ;)
