Status: offline 		Well, I instakled a long awaited 2.0 update on my "gaming" XP machine :), and it CS does not start at all now. Of course I ignored a warning message that XP is not supported (i.e. as per FAQ section advice). Hmmm ... Anyone had a similar problem on XP? Any ideas on what I could have missed?

I too couldn't run the game on XP ("The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect." -- aka the "side-by-side" error) until I installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package. (Make sure you get the right version for your system architecture, 32 vs. 64 bit.)

Maybe that's the issue here?

Status: offline 		I received the same error while trying to update, using the update button on the menu. But, Then I went to the FTP link and downloaded the update. Installed it and everything runs fine on my XP machine.
