I'm nearly 50 turns into the 8th December start grand campaign.

My turns are opening up with no political points allocated. I seem stuck on 0.

I've checked the various screens looking for ships that are overdue to leave and not found anything.

Is there anything else to drain PPs at turn start up? Am I missing something really obvious here?

Regards,
ID.

Squadrons due to withdraw? If you look at the operations report, you should see messages about that situation, if it exists.

Alimentary,
Many thanks for your help, I think you've called it. I have five squadrons overdue, stupid since I parked them in Eastern USA to get them out of the way because they were withdrawing shortly.

Cheers, Mate.
Thanks,
ID.

One last question, they are clearly overdue but there the withdraw button is not on the screen. Do I just disband them?

Yes, some squadron won't come back.

I suggest you to always read the end of the op report at the begining of each turn in order to see this kind of message .

If they can't be withdrawn, you must disband them. You can remove experience pilots and replace them with green before doing so as you will lose all pilots and planes when you disband.

You don´t have to replace them with green pilots. Just empty the squadron of pilots and disband them.

Don't forget to check 'Ship Withdrawal', that one can cost you a LOT of points!
Ships must be in port to withdraw:
San Francisco, Sydney, or Colombo
