Hia Guys,
Well for most of us its been an awful long time and much has happened. I am sure most if not all of you have moved on from CC. If you have feel free to send me a **** off or similar email :) this email shaunwallace@live.ie and sulla@closecombat.org both work. I am hoping the mods or whoever will allow this post, I was ill [heart/kidneys/COPD/Arthritis etc] for a long time, but am back pretty fit all considered now!

Most of you know CSO has been around in one shape or another and was the first major hosting site for all the maps and mods, going back to ClubSSI days and beyond. [Man did Keith Z hate modders lol] Many of you may know me from running Militargy Gamer, Wargamer or even working here at Matrix as head of operations foe several years.
Many things happened over the coure of the years, some of which I wish I could take back or do over. However, past is past and CC at least via the re-releases seems to be doing ok. It would be good to see some old faces and new.....
Now, back to the future [sorry for that lol]  I have kept the 2 domains going, the main one being www.closecombat.org and have reinstalled forums, CMS, Download manger etc. Essentially only the forums are ready to go as of now and they still need customisation. But I feel its important to get them live. I ported everything over from VB and am using a much better, more robust and usable forum system now. Currently there are over 100,000+ old posts, mostly on the old modding scene etc mixed in with the usual lol.
I have a download site set to host every single download ever produced, from CC1 thru to panthers. The CMS and other software will come online as I gauge interest levels. I also have plans to start an independent review site, but that is a few weeks off as yet. I will roll out the parts of the site, downloads section is already up and working, as things progress!
The main thing for me though is that CC is still around and that various forums exist and the huge number of downloads are around long into the future. Ryans forums going was a blow, thought it was there forever!
I am looking for help in any shape or form you can, from moderating forums to helping with content. If you can't help, fine sorry to have bothered you [once again!]

PS, talk about blasts from the past, have heard from JJVan [best CC Player EVER] Gunner, Doggie and others already!
