Is there a way to turn off the in game videos (e.g., ground attack, paradrop, etc...)?

Yes. The Interface menu item. Click on that and the one choice is Player Interface Settings. Select that and you'll get a form with checkboxes for video and sound effects.

Is that like right click the Ju 52 and click load and the paras are ready to go, after my epistle as to what might be wrong, centuur simply said the above, whew I need to go back to basics You made it plain and simple.
