Here's another place where things aren't looking up so much. My front lines are leaking like a sieve.

Turn 80 and I have been able to open up the northern front. I have 3 panzer div's (running on fumes) that are now racing to Leningrad before Larry can build up a front. I may also be able to pocket another 7 units against the Luga river

After reviewing entire front the Stalin canal pocket has to be my first objective. The investing of Leningrad my second. My forces are too thin on the ground and I can not afford to lose any major units. The reduction of the Stalin pocket will release 8 inf divs or parts thereof which can then move to the Leningrad front.

Larry has 5 inf divs, 1 tank, 2 cav, 2 Recon Regts, 1 const Bde, 1 front region and 1 Army HQ within the pocket and there is no way they can break out and from what I can see there are no forces available to break in. There are 3 Inf divs out side the pocket but I would question there state.

Not much has happened in the centre apart from being able to move 1 panzer div into reserve.

Down on the Kiev front I have made a little head way. Just that little bit too weak to make that final push to make another pocket. Every time I break in I do not have the force to expand and break out. Maybe I should move my panzer div from the centre to here. I have been able to push Larry away from the river.

Interesting developments. I'd say the Soviets will have a tough time with the penetrations in the North!

Not sure if I am walking into a trap by overextending my forces. A lot of my units have gone into reorg this turn but I have still been able to move one unit to within 1 hex of the Leningrad victory point hex. That hex is defended by 2 inf divs a couple of naval units and fix arty. In looking into Larry’s rear I can see more than 45 units. Larry did tell me that he has limited rail movement at present.

Why is he not moving them? Is he writing off Leningrad?

Not sure if Larry missed it but I have pocketed another 10 units ( 1HQ, 8 Inf Div’s and 1 Eng regt) at 125,92. If I can clear that pocket I then have chance to pocket all the units east of the line 125,92 and 136,81. however it would appear that the forces in this area are stronger than mine. So am I walking into a trap?

You guys are probably wondering why I don't use my railroads to move some troops toward the breadout. It's because I don't have
enough rail cap to move anybody. It's only 1K now and that will almost move a division. Okay I'm exagerating but not by much.

Here's what Leningrad looks like now. The Axis forces are penetrating deeply and swiftly and I'm guessing my troubles are only starting.

What???? That makes no sense at all. What's even more crazy is that your sea transport is higher than your rail transport.

John captured Tiblisi or whatever city it is that collapses the rail capability from whatever you have to 1000 total. So my hands were
effectively tied. But that's old news. I have good news:

John and I decided to play FITE2 instead and John has sent me his moves for turn 1 and this is what it looks like so far. We
couldn't do a PBEM game because unfortunately FITE2 can't find it's equipment file yet. And that makes a PBEM game
impossible. So we're doing this hot-seat. And it's my understanding that John is using 3.6.0.55 for his turns. So I'm feeling like that's
what I should use for my moves. I have the No Borders rule turned off but all the other game options are on. Here's what the opening
moves look like to me:

Because we are playing hot seat there does not appear to be the normal end of turn file. (if i am wrong please tell me where to look. This is my inf losses at about 1/2 way into the first turn

Soren and team has asked Larry and myself to test FITE2 to see if we find any bugs and post our turns. First impression is it is now a BIG game but some very out of the box thinking. EG the way naval units are handled. No ships only guns that get knock out

Is this a new scenario version or the version Sören sent out several weeks/months ago?

I would like to know what happened that allowed you to almost reach Pinsk on turn one.

Perhaps Søren would too. Unless this is the incomplete copy.

Ah, just checked. Another version uploaded 4 days ago.

Could you guys maybe start a new thread for this?

That's a great idea. I'll start another thread for the FITE2 game.

Sören provided John and I with an entirely new scenario and equipment file several days ago ( approx three days ago ) and so I
believe this is a new untested scenario with possible bugs in the later turns. John and I are going to try to find them.

Ah, I see now. Søren converted a bunch of hexes in Soviet Union for the Germans to make them move farther.

Soren has a dropbox where he has stored everything FITE2

I'm sure he would allow you a copy if you just asked him.

Good hunting.
