When I launched 2. scenerio of US campaign there were a few units automatically incorrectly positioned. I have tried to play campaign again with the same result.

When I start first turn, engine refers about it. If I move these units to correct positions, match continues normally...

Can you zip up and post the two turns for us to look over? We had seen this bug a number of months ago but had it fixed. Also are you running 2.03a?

Thanks.

Thanks. If you have not done so, I would recommend getting the 2.03A update and testing the scenario with that.

pekische, did you reposition any units during the setup phase of the second scenario? Or did you try to reposition any of the units that were not in a setup zone. It looks as if you repositions many of the units on the map. Were the units out of position there when the scenario launched? I just rolled the campaign from scenario 1 into scenario 2 and my setup phase did not look like that. I had a few units outside of the setup zone, but not way out of position like that. You can expect to find some units that may fall outside the setup zone when the new scenario launches, it is just the nature of this program at this stage. It is up to the player to then place the units where he wants them at game start. The computer is not placing the players units for start. The program leaves it up to the player.

i have played a few campaigns where to start off with all or some of my units were in invalid positions from the start, but as the game asks you to move them anyway in the setup phase i thought it was design not a fault / bug, or i'm i barking up the wrong tree with way too much time on my hands as normal :)

It is not abnormal for the units to bot be placed in a proper zone. Rob has worked on trying to get the computer to do that, but so far some don't. It is because the program is not trying to set them up in a logical tactical situation for the scenairo. The scenario designer can place setup zone anywhere on the map. The computer normally starts on one side and places the units in a sequence. The player is then responsible for places them where he wants them confined to the setup areas. My concern with pekische picture was that it looks as if he placed the units in the setup zones the way he wanted them. I am concern how the units circled in red got where they were. Did the computer place them there? I could call that out of sequence and Rob should look at that. Did he place them there? Then that is definitely a bug. I tried and could not place mine there. Can he that the units circled in red and reposition them into a setup zone? IOW, can he move them in the setup phase?

This may be just my mind playing tricks but I've noticed that the units that begin in 2nd or later scenarios are units that were 'wiped out' during the pervious battle and the engine appears to put them on the new map where they were killed on the last map

cbelva, my pictures are made after my units positioning during setup phase. Thats the reason why the most of units are not in default positions. But I did this only within possible area what was made by scenario designer. The units in red circles was positioned to this incorrect positions by computers at the very beginning setup phase before my standard positioning. I didn´t move with the units in red circles.

Tazak, we will check it out. That would help narrow the issue down.

I've tracked a few of my destroyed units, they do appear in the same grid as the grid from the last battle if they were wiped out for both fallen out or destroyed
