Your maps look amazing..but after playing the first scenario of the Teacher campaign I realise I struggle to play on them due to finding it very difficult to work out elevations in Forest areas.

Sorry to hear that, the shading can be subtle. If it helps, the light source for the maps is from the north-west, which is how our maps are shaded in NZ. That might be confusing for some of you northern hemisphere folks.

Nice. The 1st scenario in my Silver Lions Campaign uses Red Storm 5 so I finally get to see a different look in my seemingly endless playtesting.

Not quite. I noticed a couple of errors so I've uploaded a revised version. Same link as above.

I've been testing a few ways to enhance the elevation changes more, as I'm not totally happy with what I've got at then moment. The North west edges of the elevations are hard to distinguish in urban environments for example.

I've come up with a few ways to do it. I've made a preview of the different solutions below and I'm going to open it up to you guys to see what you prefer. Nos. 1 and 2 use slightly different techniques, where no. 1 has a flat, layered look while no. 2 is a more rounded look.No.3 is an enhanced version of no.2 where I added a black outline after the shading.

I would go with either 2 or 3, leaning slightly more towards 3.

Same as above. I could go with 2 or 3. But 3 does appear a little more defined.

They are all good.......... But number 3 seems to bring out the elevations more clearly.

Looks like no 3 is the general consensus so far. I've done a quick revision of the Hamelin map. Here's the NE corner of my original map:

Not yet. I have to go through the maps and realign the forests, fields and towns. May take a few days.

Play? I'm too busy making maps to play. l play tested my original map but haven't since. I'd like to hear from anyone else though. Once I've revised the ones I've done so far, the elevations will a lot easier to read.

Not while I'm still making them as it's a major pain to re-package and re-upload but I probably will once I've finished.
