Here's the sitrep_log.txt file for turn 6. Just truncate the dot txt off the end of the filename and unzip it.

And here is more to learn : :)

This logfile is not your fite2 toaw.log, as u can see u opened some other scenario (lgf.barbarossa_41) and played a very short turn.

u need to save the toaw.log directly after you played the turn.
best think is to rename it for example: toaw_fite2_T007.log (for turn 7) and but it into the directory where you save all the other scenario specific files end_of_turn etc.

I was hoping to be able to defend behind the river for a turn or two but John has units leaping across the river already. My units aren't
ready yet for confrontation having just marched to the front lines and needing a bit of rest. This is a bad sign. It's worse closer to Riga.

Here's the area around Riga. I was hoping to be able to hold John back for a turn or two but as you can see he's got units leaping
across the river and skirting my units in their drive to the north. I don't have enough units to plug all the holes and all my units are tired
and worn out from driving to get to this area. I can't hold John back here. I'll have to try to build another front line further to the east
behind another river somewhere.

Here's the Stalin Line south of the Marshes. I've started building a second line because the first is going to give way almost
immediately. I had enough time here to start a second front line so I may be able to hold up John for a couple of turns. Enough
time to start building a front line along the nearest river to the east. Good thing I have the troops to do that kind of thing with.

Even in the marshes I've lost the foot race. John got there before my defenses were set up properly and busted right through my
proposed front line positions. I guess there's no trying to hold him back here. There's a light screen set up along the river to the
east but it's not going to hold up the Germans very long if at all.

Recon elements are starting to show up around the Minsk area. It won't be long before the main combat forces are here too because
John is diligent about supporting his recon elements. Those assets are valuable and John uses them well. John used to be in a recon
unit is my understanding.

Axis units are starting to sniff around my units near Murmansk. I'm not expecting a conflict up here.....the supply level is too low. But
I wouldn't put it past John to start pushing somewhere here.

Here's a shot of the area just to the south of Murmansk. John is challenging the weak forces I have there and I'm going to have to pull
back and regroup. It may be too late to save the forwardmost Soviet units. But we've got to give it the old college try.

Here's a section of the front lines to the north of Leningrad. John is advancing the Finns into my rear areas and it looks like he's going
to trap several divisions against the lake shore to the south. Like a pincer movement.

@John:

How is the rail repair progressing and what are the supply levels at the front lines?

Was it already necessary to put units into RR?

Here's an example of where one of John's recon units got way ahead of the crowd and I finally managed to surround it. I don't have much
hope in killing it before the rest of them get here but I'm going to try. John will get along just fine without this unit I'm pretty sure.

Did I show you the front lines at mid-T6? I've been moving units and the front lines are changing slowly. Almost every dot you see in
this image of whatever color, is moving in some way. It's a spectacular effort. I guess you had to be there to understand.

I don't remember any but it looks like one might be developing just north of Minsk. He's gotten more than a hand-ful of units across
the river and my units are sparce in that area so far so he's advancing at a fast clip. My Soviet units are mostly on foot and can't keep
up w/ the pace and are being overtaken and destroyed. I've already started building a front line at Orsha going north but I can't rely on
the river to the south to hold up John for very long. He's got engineers and knows how to use them so he'll be across the river lickety
split. But I've got units headed that direction so maybe I'll just have to move the proposed front line further to the east to compensate.

I thought I'd refuse the southwest flank so as to give me more time to shuffle fresh units into the front lines. Now the lines are bending
and being probed and John is making holes in the line faster than I can mend them. We're falling back and giving way and it's starting
to unravel.

I thought blowing a few bridges might be a good thing to do upon leaving Bessarabia. I'm going to move east to protect Odessa and
maybe buy some time to get some fresh troops to this AO. Most of the recent reinforcements aren't combat ready yet and need to be
rested since they spawn w/ something like 1% supply.
