I tend to find the defensive "autopilot" a bit irritating, specially when it's a sub trying to avid a torpedo for example. Whenever it feels threatened, the defensive autopilot engages and the sub runs away from the torpedo. What I'd like to do instead perhaps would be to slightly alter the course, where the sub still would be able to outrun the torpedo. Or for example, launch a torpedo in the barring of the incoming torpedo. This is not possible until the sub returns from its defensive autopilot. Is there any way to do this?

You can turn the defensive autopilot off by turning the automatic evasion ROE to no. It was designed for this purpose.

Thanks!

Mike
