clean out all the junk you have loaded, most of the stuff thats auto loaded with windows isn't needed every boot, there's plenty of site online that tell you or give you info on clean profiles for a better gaming boot, as why have half if not all the stuff loaded each time, eg printers etc when 99% of the time they aren't needed and only take up memory and space, load only what you need, disable the rest in start up, for me in a gaming setup, my anti virus is about the only thing i have auto loading at start, using windows 8.1, but did the same in win 7 and xp tbh h88p://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_other-gaming/setting-up-a-user-profile-specifically-for-gaming/9e4f1230-63b9-476e-8cda-2f38c22f44db h88p://www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/black-vipers-windows-xp-x86-32-bit-service-pack-3-service-configurations/ there are many many others, just an example 2 for you to look at, not the best choice as xp, but google win 7 clean gaming profiles etc for a start and then your laughing :) good luck
