Orders for Cmdr Russian Forces
Situation
Tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan have risen to the highest levels since the skirmishes of 2008. Azerbaijan is clearly the aggressor making outward threats to use its air defense forces to enforce an air blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh and greater Armenia itself. Russia must act to restore stability to the region.
Enemy Forces
Azerbaijan continues to maintain a significant air defense system. They have recently fielded a battalion of S-300 missiles which are likely deployed near Baku. Their legacy systems include significant numbers of EW radar sites, SA-2, SA-3, SA-4 and SA-5 systems as well fielding a small fleet of MiG-29 fighters at Nasosnaya Air Base and Ganja Airport.

Mission
You are to destroy all Azerbaijani S-300, SA-4 and SA-5 air defense sites without excessive loss to your own forces within three days.
Execution
You are to use forces at hand to search for and destroy all known SA-10, SA-5 and SA-4 SAM sites. You may destroy any Azerbaijani unit that tracks or engages you in any way however keep in mind this is a limited attack and not one meant to annihilate the Azerbaijani Air Force. Please refrain from attacking airfields.
High command has made it clear that aircraft losses (and especially the capture of our pilots in enemy territory) will have politically unacceptable consequences. You are therefore ordered to develop a low risk strategy for reducing enemy air defences based using our superior stand-off weapons capability to the full.
Scoring:
Gain 100 Points for any destroyed SA-4, SA-5 or SA-10 SAM site.
Lose 100 for any lost aircraft.

Very nice scenario with enough air defences to use Sead tactics.The tip of the spear for my attack was my Tu-160, Tu-22 and Tu-96 bombers. I tried to escort them to the launching point east from Nanosnaya Airbase. Elint Su-24s and ECM was proved quite useful to find where the Sa-5 batteries was positioned and to identify possible locations of the Sa-20 Hi-Sam.Before my main assault I took out many unprotected Tin-shield radars to cut off their early warning capabilities. Also the Azerbaizan's airforce was small but capable enough. Almost all of my Su-27 SK was in the air and remained there to counter an assault on my bombers. Thanks to the Il-78 Midas tanker I gradually pushed my CAP fighters closer to the edge of the S-300 sites. Thus activated their radars and targeted by my Su-34 that came close from the east.
A few minutes before the main assault I used the SS-26 Stone to take out the most dangerous targets. After that I ve sent in a Sead patrol my Su-34s to take out the strong air defences in Nanosnaya and Baku Air Base. Then i launched my main attack with my cruise missiles. Sead patrol was quite helpful and even if it didnt commpletely destroy the Sa-20s it damaged them badly. After that point with careful small packets of aicraft I took out the rest of their airbases.
Hint: RBK-500 Cluster bomb is quite useful for DEAD missions to wipe out what's left. Also plan careful your tanker courses to keep up your aircrafts and bombers longer in the air and find the proper chance-window to attack. Also low altitude attacks can benefit from the terrain...
It is a long scenario but you can finish it in less than a day.
