Which GAME?
Or is this a new way to ask for opponents?
Willing to start another game...in two now but I'm retired so I got the time.

Not sure we could find enough people not already playing to make a new game. I am in 4 and they both crawl at times.

Funny, I'm in one slow mover that's really fun and one fast mover that's not really got into the heavy stuff yet.

I think Bombur is maybe not available now or perhaps Juergen Kraut is away, not sure.

The pacing of the games is curious for sure. GD1938 turns take time, one or two hours if there are significant things going on, and a lot of units.

We have a community of players who have great skill, and there is always room for new players too. I love the differences in each game, the different paths to victory various players seek out.

I probably can play another, but like all of you, I worry about all the games suddenly picking up the pace, leaving me with too many turns, and too few hours.

Juergen is out of town until Tuesday 5/20 so several games will be on hold unfortunately. We have other holdups still waiting for Claus to play the Germans in game 7 and USSR in game 10 and Hatem France/UK in game 5. I have to spend time familiarizing myself with a game as I forget the nuances of particular battles and plans I made tend to get overlooked. I guess taking notes is a good idea but that takes time and often some plans are best forgotten

As the US I have drawn out production plans for PP and troop production as well as Factory builds. I don't worry as much about Japan, or Germany though I keep track of PP production plans for Germany and the Soviets.

There exists a way already. If you go into the screen where you normally declare (major) wars, and go down and click resources for your own country, it will have your choice of victory condition written down as Victor and then a number. That is the number you chose.

Step 1: Notice chronic slow players.
Step 2: Keep list of slow players.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit by not allowing them in games.

True but then there's the out of the blue types that simply disappear without notice.

Twotribes your up for a turn in game 7 Japan.

These people don't disappear they have difficulty getting to a computer. Because they live in Hogwarts the only computer is in the lowest dungeon. They have to play a game of Quidditch then defeat the Great Snoggert while avoiding professor Snape and Dumbledore who will make them play another game of Quidditch if they get caught. And of course they are being pursued by the Jabberwocky who is trying to prevent them from playing their turn under instructions from he/she who must not be named. And even if they reach the magic door that leads to their computer they could be returned to the beginning by the Shorts of forgetfulness that they have for some strange reason placed over their heads.

Me I just play the turn.

Just some of the people actively preventing ATG turns being played.

All games seem stalled.

Please check your games to see if your turn is up.

GD1938 is a great scenario, and I know Bombur and Ernie are willing to continue refinement, but it is not well known in the gaming community. These games make a difference.

I think it has elements that rival "World inFlames", although I have never played that well respected game. It is relatively inexpensive, and a lot of fun in all aspects. So get the games back on track.

Thanks,

Chuck

Same here, both games are up to date for me. Tired of chasing them down though. I'm moving on from one and the other I don't see much hope for at this pace.

Just letting you know that I´ll be away this weekend, in case game 11 starts to move. You will have to email Jeffrey the Soviet turn. I won´t be back on my computer before Monday, so... good gaming...

Ernie sent me the above, but I don't see any activity in Game 11, and it has been awhile.
