Is it possible to fiddle with MF's ruleset, so that the hash marks could be moved closer to the sidelines? I would like to play as if -- or, as CLOSE TO as if -- when the ball used to be scrimmaged wherever the Ball Carrier was tackled and declared "down." Maybe, within 10 yds. of the sideline would be good, since that perhaps would not cause problems with as many plays, especially pass plays.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

The maximum ball-placement to the sidelines is hard coded to the field type you're playing on. Canadian and US-A fields will use wider ball placements than US-P and Indoor, however it's not possible to otherwise alter how close to the sidelines the ball will be placed.

It is possible, using a graphics program, to create a field overlay that would put the hashmarks out wider, but the ball would not actually be placed on the new hashmarks.
