So I've been playing without getting up for about 5 hours. I've now come to an error that crashes my game, making it so I can't progress. It's rendered my entire playthrough useless, which is more then annoying.

I uploaded a save file. It's called "NewZodiac March 26 Crash"

Distant Worlds - Crash Dump - 1.9.5.0

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

When I try to build an orbital battery at a planet (Naxxil 11 for me), this message shows up and I crash. I'm going to try cancelling the building, but hopefully the reason behind this error gets fixed.

Cancelling the building didn't help. Must be some other building somewhere else. Could be an AI building for all I know. Any possible help would be appreciated.

Ye, probably another empire doing the building.

Why don't you try uploading the saved game? Not sure how much they can do just from the log, but if you upload a saved game right before the crash I'm sure they'll be able to figure it out. Instructions are in a sticky at the top.

As for your current game, you might be able to go into the editor, find the station/facility that's being built, and remove it? On the other hand, that might be easier said than done.

Elliot is quite good at fixing issues from the log only. But a savegame never hurts and may make him find the details behind the issue.
