I was able to produce a report via Crystal Reports XI of Tracker data. It allows me to make custom reports.

The question I have is that looking at the data in Trackerdb the thing I could not find is the current ship ammo values. I am using current version with the stock updated game exe (not beta).

What table are the values located?

The max values are already there in the ship class data & I have that in my private current build but I've sort of taken a hiatus from coding this for other projects (and bugging floyd)

Maybe in a future release ...

So would you show us a pic ?

Probably of the reports you're generating.

There are 159 pages of this thread, so instead of trying to wade through I'll ask directly:
What is witptracker?
What do I need to make it run? (On a W8 machine, that is)
How does it differ from witpstaff?

Best way is to look at post 4742 (a little above your post) and follow the link in Damian's signature to the Tracker web site.

Not working anymore...

Win 7 64bit, 16 GB RAM, around 60 turns on the tracker, nothing new installed, nothing changed on my side:

Increase the Xms and Xmx values in the witptracker.bat file by 64 each until it starts working again.

Question: do you need this program to play this game? I hope not. All I want to do is make my plans and fight. Thanks in advance.

No, you don't need it to play. This is an incredible useful tool, expecially if you play jap, but you can plans and fight without it.

I've noticed on the Air Production page I get duplicates of some of the place in production. There will be two listings for teh same Chinese planes, but not for US planes. Does this have a known cause?

Is it a graphical glitch or the information is wrong ? Can you show me (post a pic) the screen you mean ?

Cheers

I'm not having luck getting a printscreen copy. What I am seeing is I sort on the "ID" field and get two "2"s, two "3"s, but only one "4", then two "5"s, etc. Each doubled ID has the exact same info.

Hi, is there another way to check the squadron upgrade paths? i want to find what squadrons upgrade to a certain night fighter and the click squadron, click upgrade button, dismiss upgrade, click quadron etc.. is not better then the in game system in fact having to sometimes increase the table is more cumbersome.

There is a bulk way of doing it but it can be somewhat inaccurate or rely on upgrades. Also since Michael has allowed some PP expenditure for changing - I haven't looked into these other permutations .

Tracker has been running strong until the last 8 or so turns - I'm only getting a very small part of the intel results. I'm playing as the Allies and I'm also using combat reporter, so I know there is a significant shortfall into what tracker is now displaying. I'm in mid August '42. Far as I can tell, everything else is running fine.

Any ideas to the problem and a fix?

Can you send me a screenshot of the latest turns info, the latest turn's asigint file and check to see if there were any errors in the DOS batch window.

Send to witptracker @ gmail.com

Thanks

Tracker not working = unhappy place! Great Utility. Running beta2 and tracker version 1.9.2

Error message says:
ERROR:problem starting the database. Exiting
Java.sql.SQLException: User not found: SA
then a bunch of "at" statements

I unknowingly unstalled Java 6 a while back (it seemed to run for a while) so as noted in past threads I:
1. reinstalled v6 and pointed it to java in the executable with:"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe -xms384m -xmx512m -jar "WitpTracker.jar"
2. Copied the pwsdll.dll from the beta2 folder to the tracker folder

Still get same error message. Thanks for the help.

Hi -
Not that it may make much difference but in Point 1: You are missing a " at the end of java.exe. Mine below is from a Win7x64 bit hence the (x86)
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms512m -Xmx640m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"
pause

Are all four trackerdb files still there? If not you will need to reinitialise the DB by deleting all the trackerdb.* files.

When WitPTracker is not running, the four files are supposed to be:
trackerdb.script
trackerdb.properties
trackerdb.data
trackerdb.backup

When the program is running, you'll see two additional:
trackerdb.log
trackerdb.lck

The real database is in trackerdb.data and if you don't have that one any more, you may as well delete all of the trackerdb files and start over again.

Damian,

Thank you for the help.  All the tracker files are still there.

I went ahead and downloaded latest tracker version and installed it.  Didn't run at first, but then I remembered needed to copy pwsdll.dll from beta2 directory (since I'm running beta mod) into tracker directory and it worked.  Just uploaded 90 turns .

Thanks for the assistance.  Everyone on the forum is great.

Hey Floyd, Damian -

If you're doing another update, I found a "bug":
In the Bases data set, if you look at Air Support (Planes), air support is not being properly calculated for size 8 and 9 (and 10...) airfields. I realize this is only in the betas and not the latest official, however is there a way to get it updated?

What are you seeing? At some point in the last year or two level 8 and higher airfields have their aviation support doubled. Are you seeing something different?

Bill

No, the game is doing what you describe; WitPTracker is not.

Correct, I am seeing half of the air support that the game reports. I was concerned for a moment that Tokyo was about 150 air support short of the number of planes on the field, until I checked in game.

I searched for Java7, saw two posts from July 2013. SO, if I have the latest version of Java (Java 7) does this thing work? If not, is there an alternative (using Windows 7 as well)
