I've decided to get back into WIPAE, and have installed it on my new windows 8 machine.

However, I can't get the updates to work. I get an error trying to download a FTP file. Any suggestions.

Also, can someone direct me to the correct link for the screen size settings etc. It was a couple of years ago when I did them for my other machine.

Ok, I've got the update installed and can access my old save games.

Now trying to look at the switches.?

Ok, I'm in business after looking up some of the previous threads.

I'm running in 1920 x 1080; the large map is great. However,is there anyway to make the information boxes bigger so my aging eyes can read them easier? Or is the answer to go back to the smaller display if I want easier reading.

1600 x 1080 looks pretty good; I think I'll stay with this.
