I created a new game with only two races. entered game editor and added 12 more races and game them planets. exited game editor went into diplomacy and played for an hour until I met up with one of the races I added. I went into diplomacy to arrange trade and to my surprise I did not see the new added race.

Has your empire made contact with this race yet? Did you get a message that you had met this race?

It is possible to see them on your sensors, most especially by long range sensors, and still not have made contact.

Hi StarGen70

How did you add the other races in the editor? Were they proper empires, or just independent colonies?

Independent colonies use a light-grey color around their colonies and name badges. They do not appear in the Diplomacy screen - but they often make great colonization targets :)

I have ships in their system. and no I haven't received any messages. I am using a work around by changing all races relationships from "not met" to "no relationship".
