I entered an issue with tech support, describing here as well. I played a normal game starting from scratch for about 1/2 hour. The game crashed when I rolled the mouse wheel to zoom at one point. This was shortly after I discovered Warp Field Precursors and was launching my first ship to a new system. I rolled the mouse to zoom in on it and the game exited. I don't appear to be able to paste the screenshot of the error message but I added it to my support ticket (which I don't seem to be able to pull up with the image).

Version: 1.9.5.2 beta
System: Windows 8.1 64-bit. 16 GB memory.

Autosaved game attached, but it's from around 25 minutes before the crash so may be of limited usefulness.
