They are a potent British tank and difficult for the Germans to defeat. They are present in a handful of British infantry (15 Scottish Division) battlegroups. The Crocodile has impressive frontal armor (Churchill Mk VII variant), are very slow moving, and project a flaming tongue of death upwards of 100m. The German player will wisely avoid this tank and try to defeat it with a side or rear shot from any tank or anti-tank unit. The Panther tank with its 75mm L70 gun is the only German tank that can easily defeat the Churchill frontal armor. Otherwise, best of luck with your panzerfaust.

The 141 RAC (The Buffs) were present in the opening days of Operation Epsom, and these tanks are from that unit.

Thanks for the info on the Crocs. There will be at least one in a support role in my battle groups. Did they actually perform as well in the war?

think this may answer you question a bit quote"from late 1950 until their withdrawal in 1951, Churchill Crocodiles served in Korea as part C Squadron, 7th Royal Tank Regiment in 29th Brigade." end quote, so what that was for is the answer is yes, they did extremely well

the flak 88 should also have no problem with this tank. the german 75 mm a/t gun as well. if they are, then theres something wrong with the gun, penetration and armour data.

the panzerfaust and panzershreak at the appropriate ranges also should have no problem with this tank or any other allied tank.

theres something about 100m of flame shooting out at you that simply scares the **** out of everyone and makes you want to run away......FAST

the Flak 88 cannot penetrate the frontal armor of the Crocodile (nor can the 7.5cm PAK) because it's based on the Mk. VII Churchill variant with exceptionally thick front armor. (It's possible that a straight-on frontal shot might penetrate, but it's a lucky shot to do so.) These guns will have no problem with the side/rear facing of this tank.
