by saying what i think of the idea is the only thing i can do and the "community" seems to agree based on responses to the OP. there is nothing disrespectful or uncivil or not opened mined about me saying that IMO its a horrid idea. it would have huge ramifications on the game especial for me because i use the design screen as a pause or the diplomacy screen or any of the other pop up screens. just because some one disagrees with an idea does not mean its not a good idea the op has yet to defend the idea and how it would benefit the game besides saying "its annoying to find that I've spent half hour designing a ship only to realize I didn't unpause after opening the window. Or going AFK only to return to find game is paused because of a stupid pop-up."quote:
ORIGINAL: Lonck i don't understand what game have you guys been playing but I never get that. The option to pause would still be there it would just not pause by default. The suppress all pop up makes exploration ships explore bases and ships which I want to leave alone for the AI because they need them. so by making it a opinionated statement he got others opinions about the subject at hand, there was no cursing and no bad mouthing, nothing just colorful words describing how others felt just as the op did. quote:

ORIGINAL: pycco he was not asking questions, he is asking for a change in how the game works the opinion is no less valid now then it was before we disagreed with it. all any of us can give is are opinion, just because we disagree with the op does not mean are word is law by any means. or that we are being uncivil by stating that. look at what happened with the text issue a few complained loudly now I have to deal with huge texts when i preferred the text before. It is my belief from the time I have been involved with Elliot and Erik that when it comes down to the game and its changes, a "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" type response occurs. I don't like the large text either pycco, but I am not the developer, nor do I expect my say in matters to count for anything individually, although sometimes as a member of the beta team it does. Nevertheless, I'm just speaking on the way we deliver our information/responses/answers and asking that we all do it with less crass. yes that is why i said i deal with it, if the op wanted a discussion the op would not have used words like annoyed, stupid. instead of asking like hey guys what do you think about the game pausing when you are in the pop up screens? i don't care for it is there any way to avoid this?
