I captured a pirate space port, and some of the resources inside are still flagged as belonging to the pirate faction. What gives?

When your empire or pirate faction captures a planet, spaceport, mining station, etc. should all cargo stored there now default to your ownership? This topic has been brought up by several forum member for some time but nothing has been done to this point. I believe that your friends and allies should be allowed to pick up their purchased resources, but the enemy purchases should revert back to you by default.

Maybe it will change in some future version.

Well, my example doesn't have anything to do with purchases, these were goods assigned to the pirate faction which owned the starport. They somehow retained possession of goods inside the starport after I boarded and captured it. No colony or 3rd party factions are involved with this issue.
