So, I've been loving the game, but playing it now, I'm not even out of my home system (have 5 Mining and Gas Mining Bases established) and, when I go to use the Expansion Planner, the "Resource Targets by Your Empire Priority" setting suddenly results in a blank screen. I can see all sorts of entries when I sort "...by Galaxy Priority", and I have all sorts of resources I'm not yet mining (Tyderious, Aculon, Emeros Crystals, etc.) where I can find planets or moons in my home system, but I can't see them in the Expansion Planner using the most useful setting ("...by your Empire Priority").

This seems to happen to me after a save, and I've noticed it happen a couple different times now on different saved games. It's not reproducible, in that I'm not sure what makes it happen, but it is reproducible in that if I play a PreWarp game for a few hours, it always seems to happen sooner or later. I don't recall running into this before 1.9.5.5, but I've only been playing for a month or so.

Below is the screen shot filtering on Galaxy Priority. When I just tweak it to "...by Your Empire Priority", all possible mining solutions go away. I'm happy to save a game if that's an appropriate way to submit the problems, but I thought a screen shot might be more useful. I'll see if I can embed an "after" image in a second message.

I guess it only lets me embed one picture per thread. Oh well, if anybody can use a different upload, I'm happy to provide!

I am not sure if this is a bug. It has done that to me since the original release. I think it does that because your empire's demands are satisfied after a while, unless you start building a lot of ships, established a couple colonies or built some space ports. Hopefully a dev will make a comment about it.

Having played with it some more, it does seem to "come and go". Sometimes I see all my potential colony resources, sometimes I don't see any, and sometimes I only see a few. I wonder if it's an AI thing or just something wonky in the interface (e.g., if I'm clicked on a particular ship type or base, does it affect the view?).

Anyways, I'd be curious to hear if others have the same problem. As noted, I'm happy to provide more screen shots or a save game file!

Yes, this happens to me too.

I tend not to use the 'empire priority' filter (except for sating curiosity ...) and use the 'galaxy priority' and then sort by distance, or resource to shorten the list.

To be honest it is probably a bigger problem for the AI than the player.
