I've put my ARM equipped Corsairs in a SEAD patrol put of SAM range. They fire and hit the target but fail to destroy it. The Corsairs then proceed to close the range for an attack with short range bomblets. How do I prevent this from happening other than manually ordering them to return? Is it setting 'Maintain standoff' to yes in the doctrine, if it is I don't think it works.

As far as I know, the maintain standoff ROE setting only applies to ships.

By hand.

Bit of a pain but if you want planes to maintain standoff you will have to hand manage them as far as I know. It always means I am a very busy person because I like having my fighter tactics go perfectly haha

This setting only impacts ships IIRC.

Thanks!
