I wanted to take Manassas with my 44,000 men army because I saw the CSA had left the region.

The battle result shows that only 1,000 men were left. All opposing men were killed or captured. I took the region.

But the result was only a stalemate! Hahahah....

You can see the picture of the result appended. Did anyone knows why I didn't won this battle?

Easy. McDowell was the commander.

That explains everything.

The AGEOD battle engine will occasionally throw weird calls like this out. I have also seen examples where I "won" the battle, but lost much more men and was the side that was forced to retreat. Most of the time the results called out are in line with what really happened, and since you got the region not much is lost by the weird "results."

On second thought, perhaps the AGEOD engine does not consider this a Union victory because you suffered some losses. With that many troops and cannon against virtually no resistance it would not be unusual to suffer no losses at all.

In my experience the game calls the result a draw, but because there are no defenders remaining, when you look at the map you will control the area where the battle was fought. Perhaps the result is meant to simply prevent you from advancing beyond the area where the battle was fought because the defenders put up a lot of resistance.

I think it's a bug. The "total inflicted" for both sides is 2 hearts. Perhaps it's real simple and saw 2 = 2 = stalemate.

I think Qwixt is right, because you gave as many hits as you got,but I've seen so many battles like this that I will never understand. I think no one really knows.

What's really strange is how it considers both sides inflicting the same amount. One side lost 1068, and the other larger side lost 180. That's a 100% loss of men vs. under 1% for the other side. I have no idea how the game or anyone can consider that an equal in "total inflicted" stat.

That's absolutely right for me. It's a win with no gain of national morale points or victory points becausess my army was much stronger than the opponent.
