Enemy took very heavy losses during retreat. 11th Army is still blocked by big Chinese army and is failing advance to Ankang at 83,44. 34th Divisions finally reach edge of mountains at 81,44. Now is waiting for more units to secure position. It great success, however I do not have forces to advance into plans I need wait for arty and tanks. AVG is back operating in area. It shot down a few bombers and next clash with 12 Zeros lead by CDR Amagi (ldr59:air67). We lost 2 zeros for 3 P - 40, it seems allied pilots quality finally has improved. 2 Warhawks were shoot down by PO2 Matsumara S. and one by PO2 Maki T. Australia Bihoro, 4th and 1st Kukotai escorted by Tainan Kukotai are still bombing Australian industry. During last attack at Newcastle they took heavy losses form allied flak. 14 planes and 7 crews did not return base.
