I am a late comer to this game so if this question has been answer before please forgive.

In the manual editor section there is a lot of mention about the .xml files. In the 'Editing a Vehicle' there is an eample of editing a KV-1, It says Open the file "KV-1 Model 1941.xml" in the \Data\ArmouredUnits\folder.
In my \Data\ArmouredUnits\folder there are no .xml files, they are all filled with .dds, x, .bmp etc items.

I am using the latest version 329f.
Has this all been changed ?

Thanks for any info.
Alan

The xml files are still in the .\Data\ArmouredUnits folder. If you are seeing the dds and bmps then you probably opened the KV-1 Moddle 1941 folder itself. The ArmouredUnits folder holds the unit xmls for all the Armoured Units, as well as folders for each of the models used.

Hope this helps. And welcome, hope you enjoy the game.

Rick

Hello Rick, thanks for the quick reply & info.
That will teach me to read the Path correctly & scroll right down. What a dumbo !

Just messing with the Tutorial at the moment, would be nice to be able to give several orders to a squad in one go but maybe I haven't found that yet.

Thanks again Rick
Regards
Alan

Glad to help, I've done that before myself. You can include waypoints in your movement path, and order your infantry units to enter buildings or board trucks together in one order, but you won't be able to order other types of combinations.

Hope you enjoy.

there is a Boot Camp campaign that does a good job of teaching some of the basic infantry tactics once you finish the tutorial.

Thanks
Rick
