ORIGINAL: hellfish6 Hi guys So one of my favorite wargaming experiences was back in the early 2000s, when a group of gamers ran a meta-campaign for Combat Mission. It was a huge, interesting and occasionally painful process involving detailed rules and an enormous amount of work for all sides involved. With the experience of backsight and forethought, and the capabilities of the CMNAO game, there's a small part of me that wants to attempt something like this, which I expect will become more interesting if/when the game allows for multiple players in one game. I think CMNAO could handle the air and naval aspects of the campaign well, and maybe we could use another game (SPMBT? Combat Mission Strike Force? Other?) to resolve land combat. I'd like to keep it pretty small and limited in scope - say, an expedition or strategic raid to secure WMDs/HVIs/destroy a terrorist sanctuary - with limited forces, of limited duration, and still interesting. So, for now, this is an attempt to gauge interest. If this project does interest you, what kind of campaign would you like to see? A modern/near-future real world peer-on-peer fight (NATO invades Crimea or Russia vs. China)? A fictional modern/near-future peer-on-peer fight (i.e. Country A fights Country B)? Refight a Cold War expeditionary fight (i.e. Suez 1956, Kuwait 1961, Cuba 1962)? A real world third world vs. other third world fight (Nicaragua vs Honduras in the 80s, or South Africa vs Angola or India vs Pakistan)? Something else? US vs Red? France vs Red? Russia vs Blue? China vs Green? Post suggestions, questions, tell me I'm insane, etc. You are insane. But I am still interested at this point. I have a bias for near to mid future "what if" scenarios. Depending on how this all sorts out count me as interested. Regards, Feltan
