I'm new to the game and lost my first mission

However, I went back and tried again and you can see my attempt here.

I realised after my first attempt that I had to send my mobile units forwards and leave the infantry behind to mop up in order to get to Pskov in time. In my second attempt, I cut through the Russian defenses and race along the supply lines with my most mobile units in classic Blitzkrieg style.

It's interesting that this is what army leaders feared in the war, that the mobile units would outpace the main bulk of the army and get cut off and defeated without support. In reality, once the breakthrough has happened, there's little that can stop you.
