First off, I'll say the same thing I did when I first got WiTPAE. WHAT HAVE I DONE!!

Seriously to the developers (and the community): well done!

I've made my way through the tutorials, manual and several YouTube tutorials (Baloogan -> ).

I'm now playing the Advanced ASW scenario, and want to set sprint and drift ops for two of my surface groups. Here is the question: when you set speed etc on a waypoint in the chain, is it until that waypoint, or after that waypoint? Seems minor, but important for my plan.

*FACEPALM* I literally just saw the sprint and drift box in the formation editor. No mention of it in the manual (maybe in the addendum). I'll give it a try. Any advice welcome.

I was going to mention that..., its a late addition and not in the manual. But in responce to your first question - the unit assumes the speed, alt etc after the waypoint.
