Looks like the pop-up message for taking some abandoned ships gets lost at times.

This happens more when there are a bunch of fully repaired abandoned ships in one place.

Anyway for message to stay up? or a way to trigger it again like Right-Click Investigate ship.

Otherwise the abandoned ship just sits there.

If you use control + right click on or near a derelict, an option called "investigate (name of ship or station)" should be present, which should act in the same manner as the "investigate" button on the pop-up window does.

You can also sometimes trigger the pop-up window by moving away and then back towards the derelict, or even just by moving to it, though this is at best unreliable. You might be able to find the news scroll message associated with the pop-up in the news scroll in the top center of the main screen, or failing that, in the event history menu (click the button that looks like an envelope, found to the right of the news scroll), though I'm not sure if selecting the event from the event history list will allow you to investigate the location, as I've never tried doing it that way.
