Screens go straight to the main game art folder, and they will over write the originals.

I feel like a fool for having missed all these new art mods for the past few years. After installing the new TopoMap I came here looking to see what else there was and wow am I shocked! The rotating aircraft art data is an awesome feature.

I didn't see the new bombardment screens on Halsey's website, are they located there and I just missed them or somewhere else?

Thanks to everyone for continuing to work on this game after all these years.

Not enough room for these on the site, and not enough demand.
So I'm sorry to say that these are now unavailable.

I've made a few changes to some of the in-game naval combat screens if anyone is interested.

https://www.mediafire.com/?0foeko2q4tm0bur

Download is at the above link, I'm not 100% satisfied with them yet. So they may change. I've made the sea on the Naval Combat Screen quite light in color, this to make it have less impact on the ships shils. Tried to keep the basic style of the game apart from that, but spruce things up a little.

Please back up any files you choose to replace etc etc.

The bombardment screens were awesome. I had them on my old laptop which unfortunately crashed so I can no longer access them. I should have put them on a disk.

I took the plunge and loaded the artworks that Michael and the rest have spent so much time on. Its great! I love the symbols and icons beside the units.

The problem is the enemy icons on the detail map are no longer red. Can you help me please??

Thanks

So you installed AE Icon File Replacements.zip. This replaces the coloured naval task force icons with grey ones which some people like.

I assume you did this??? If not let us know and some kind soul is bound to e-mail you a copy of the original map icon files to put back into your art folder.....

(mapiconsJ.bmp for the Japanese icons....)

An alternate with the red TF icons is still present in the art folder.

In the art folder, locate mapiconsJ_altJ, and rename to mapiconsJ.

It's the same as the art replacement, only with red TF icons.

The one I've got loaded is out of synch

Thx.

My downloads are for stock only, any art in the main art folder works for any mod.

Here's the only Babes art downloads available.
They are not condensed on any one website.

I have documented the special handling that has been built into the AE code "over the years" to handle various plane image changes and displaying of the unit patches.

1. Plane art can change depending on game month/year.
2. Unit patches can be added to ships, groups and LCUs, which will show on the unit screen when viewed.

When we get around to patch 4, it can be included (with any updates by then) in the Manual sub-directory.

Please note this has been tested but funny or misaligned art can cause game issues (CTD).
If you have an issue after installing some art, try removing the images to see if the problem goes away.

I hope you find this helpful for adding just that more chrome to this game!

Do you know any art mods about WW1 ships and planes?
Thank you very much for your help.
Kind Regards

Roberto

Definitely interested. Thanks for posting these.

(after seeing them in action in the game...)

Yep, a major improvement over the default versions. The ship wake in the shor bombardment screen was a nice touch! Thanks again. :)

Gary has posted a bunch of art for WWI era ships that bled over into the following decade. Great work, look in the mods section.

Thanks once again for all the great art works. I've installed something from this thread however that has now made both my and enemy submarines grey, the enemy subs are ships do have a tiny Japanese flag to the top right of the icon. I'm not sure what causes this tried to look through all the pages but did not see an answer. I suspect it was the AE Icon File Replacement mod but not sure, anyone know what I'm taking about and how to get colors back, specifically red for enemy? Thank you

Deleted the AE icon replacement download from my site.
Too many confused about replacing icons back to originals.

I had the impression that the Hashima-class were cable layers rather than minelayer but they might have been assigned to multi-purpose missions i guess. They are usually referred as the only class of purpose-built cable layers of the IJN.

They were cable layers and “mine planters“ for laying controlled defensive minefields, mines linked by cables to a control station on land that could trigger them.

Replacement bitmaps to upgrade or change your TF Mission Art.
150x60 pixels, save as bitmap, cut and paste using paint program.

Of course you'll want the basi sets from my website, first.
