I have 3 squadrons of B-17's in Cairns. It is June 1942. I have lost one aircraft each from two of the squadrons. Their morale is 37, 49, 50. I used them for some bombing of Gili Gili at 20,000 ft.
I have had them standing down for two days and their morale has gone down 1-2 points!!

What do I need to do to get their morale back up? I have almost 3 times the air support needed, loads of supplies, and more than enough ground support for the troops there.

I think you're going to have to stand them down (zero activity) for a week to get that morale back up. Anyhow that's what I've done.

Weathersfield,
Is this about our PBEM game?
Sounds like I don't need to worry about those pesky B-17s for a while.
I know why. It's becuase they are a bunch of mama boys.:D

Yes it is Full Moon, but don't worry, I have two more B-17 squadrons moving up to keep your troops company. I think that the inspiration on the squadron leader has some effect. One squadron, the one with the best inspirstional leader, went up 5 points, the others only 2, but I will be able to fly some of them soon. I guess I just didn't let them sit long enough.

Also Full Moon, the S-46 is looking for more APs to sink. :)
( 3 salvos, 2 APs sunk and a PG damaged, what a crew )

If they would add some WAVE air support units to this game, I guarantee a morale boost!

After you've done with them, can you send them over to Rabaul?:D

Send them back to Brisbane, or Noumea, and keep them there till the moral is back up to the 90's. Then move them back to the base from which they will conduct operations. It could take as long as a month to get the moral up, but that is just the way it is.
