There is. There are only (AFAIK) three, USA, Euro, and Australia.

Here is a thread on Aussie WIFCON 2012

According to the routeplanner it's 500 kilometers and it takes 4 hours and 45 minutes aproxx.

You don't have to pass a lot of major cities, so normally, you won't get stuck in traffic.

I know that you aren't in this years Order of Battle but ...

... will you come around like you did before?

It was nice to have you there and to have your help to interpret the rules...

I so long to be there. If just for a day.

I'm still thinking, but time and money is short, I'm afraid...

Centuur,

It is to far away for just a short trip. So it is not doable.

But I do long to be there.

Something that could cheer me up as the Autumn arrives is pictures from the different games. Reports as well would be a bonus. But stand alone pictures would be truly awesome.

Well, The first time I went there I planned to see the games only. But I finally was convinced to play.

However, it's worth it, the guys are nice, the countryside is gorgeous, the accommodation reasonably comfortable and prices right. And there is WIF. If you are not playing it could be possible too to make a tour around, it's the Grimm Brothers land and it's beautiful, this is something I need to do someday.

And plane tickets, if bought in advance are really cheap, I bought mine one month ago (return ticket) for 84.

While I'd prefer to go to the USA WifCon (closer and cheaper) my wife tells me that if I'm going to a Con, it'll be EuroWiFCon because then she can do the Fairy Tale Road tour.

As for cheaper... the plane would be more expensive to Germany than inside America but the hotel and Con registration is much more expensive in the Wifcon IIRW.

Indeed.

But it would be fun if someone there had the time to take a few pictures and post them here.

You mean different form those? I will be busy playing but I wouldn't mind making some when I stop and rest, but don't know what else I could photograph apart from what you see in those photos at eurowif.de:

For example:

Participants:

One of the tables:

A general though incomplete panoramic:

A close-up

Another close-up:

The bar/ break room / lunch place (it's held in a Shooting range Club):

Lile 20 of this kind.

Buff, provided people don't mind, I'll try to make a couple of them, and the building and sorroundings as well as a general view of the play room.

However don't expect too many nor too good (I am not taking my camera they will be mobile phone ones).

How did you get shots without all the lingerie and swimsuit models that typically hang around these events in them? Just lucky I guess

Cheers, Neilster

We just agreed that photos were going to be made a certain day, and the organization was very firm that no tangas, bras or feathers would be admitted that afternoon. Some were reluctant but after Harry gave up his heels everybody had to.

While there, we were fortunate to sample for dinner some excellent German food at reasonable prices:

More on the town, I love the inscriptions in German or in this case in Latin with biblical excerpts:
