From one who can't get enough history on the most dramatic conflict in human history, the more I learn and play this game the more I totally love it and feel my gaming fate as being sucked into this! Wow, this is a great game!

the replay-ability is, well, rather indefinite.

Any other thoughts on your relationship to this game?

My relationship with WITE is kind of like that between Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke in 9 1/2 weeks, although I am not sure if I'm Basinger or Rourke in this relationship. But it's definitely sick and hot.

They had a chance to make a great game and screwed it up.

Not sure what the foundation of your criticism is, as you have not mentioned it here. But if it's because you do not feel the game is historical, as I have heard others complain, I think the only way to get a really historical flavor is to be reincarnated into the eastern front. A game is a game after all, sometimes we forget.

I cannot think of anything with a beter historical flavor though, perhaps Case Blue comes in, and some TOAW scenarios. I never enjoyed TOAW that much. I felt the game play, mechanics and everything else about it are too generica for my taste. WITE has flavor where TOAW for example, is beer, labeled as "beer."

It depends on which side I'm playing. On one hand you have Mother Russia and the other the Fatherland.
