I got permission to write a novel using WITP:AE.

It actually got published (much to my surprise). It's called:

The Deja Vu Chronicles Book 1: Singing Pumpkins

OK, we need details. How many bassos, altos, tenors, mezzo sopranos, sopranos and etc.? Can you tell they're orange with your eyes closed?

First I thought it is a joke, googled it nonetheless, found the Amazon excerpt and got so absorbed I almost forgot to send my kids to school (it's 8:30 am at my place)...

Nice read - but 50 Euros for the printed version is a bit hefty! Gotta talk to my wife about a Kindle for xmas...

Amazon has a free reader for Windows and Mac that will allow you to read Kindle format books on your computer. Though I have to say the Kindle is a handy book reading device. The monochrome ones are easy on the eyes after staring at a computer screen all day.

I was wondering if this was a joke too. I guess congratulations for getting published! I'll have to check out the book. Do you get any more royalties for the dead tree edition?

Bill

Well, you did better than me in my first search. I typed in Deja Vu Chronicles and ended up with a romantic fantasy involving 18th century pirates and a time-travelling woman. I assumed it must have been a hell of an AE mod the author had played.

But then I realised I had the wrong Deja Vu Chronicles.

And the feeling I'd made the same mistake before.

Royalties are all good, purchases either digital or paper work.

Seriously, 50 euros for my book? LargeSlowTarget, did you check Amazon and Barnes & Noble?

Having had a quick skim over the Amazon extract, it looks like an interesting premise.

One constructive comment I'd like to make is the use of acronyms. There's quite a lot on any given page, and does Kimmel really need "ADM" before his name every time he's mentioned? Can't we get away with replacing "LCDR" with plain old "Commander" for Rochefort once in a while?

Just something for the next book.

I look fwd to a report back from someone who reads the book versus excerpts. I agree that tit is an interesting premise. My guess is that such a "man from the future" might have buggered up as much as he saved!!!

this looks interesting, may have to give it a try.

Always thought Cuttlefish's Hibiki AAR saga would have been a great book.

Congrats! That's awesome. Question: why did you need permission from Matrix? What is the WitP:AE connection in the book?

Got permission because some items in the book were simulated with WitP:AE, and some that I wrote myself. Always better to not get sued.
