I think I must be missing something really obvious (and will kick myself when someone points it out).

I plot a course for a sub... and instead of moving towards it, the course line becomes dotted, changes to include some slightly bizarre manoeuvring and a red diamond appears.
Not on a patrol, or attacking anything.
Turn off automatic evasion just in case.

Could someone tell me what's going on and how do I make the sub go in a straight line A-->B.

Status: offline 		I'm not sure what the red diamond thing is, but I think the dotted line means that the course originally set is somehow impossible (e.g., somewhere along the original course, the depth is too shallow for the sub, or there is some tiny reef, etc.) and the dotted line is what the computer has come up with as a substitute course.
