Hi community, here is a serie of proposal regarding Mirage 2000, starting with 2000D. N will come later then single-seater and foreign versions. Before all else, please note that what I do suggest comes from books or websites, I have no first hand experience in the air, I did my best to double check things though. So what you do have here is nothing more than pure research, nor nothing less. In other words, I've done my homework but keep in mind it's all from public sources. It doesn't gives Heading Information nor is able to perform Surface Search. Like the #847 - Tornado Nose Radar (TNR), it's a Terrain Following and Ground Mapping Radar. Its Air to Air abilities are subpar (due to its frequency I've been told), while it's max A-A range is advertised as 16 n,m, it's practical range is about 5-8 nm. The Magic 2's or the pod's IR sensor, or even Eyeball Mk1 are often more efficient to find the tanker the Mirage 2000D have rendez-vous with (this is verbatim from actual crew). The difference from 2000N and D lays in the weapon system. #1892 - Chameleon Name is Cameleon ("Caméléon" if you can use accents) #3891 - DDM-2000 -- ICMS Mk2 Name is "DDM", simply. (Détecteur de Départ Missiles) #70 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 1996 #69 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 1998 #1282 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 2000 #23 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 2002 #1745 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 2004 #1715 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 2011 #2861 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 2014 Sensors: should add: #2241 - AN/AVS-9 Night Vision Goggles Properties: should be: Bombsight - Advanced Navigation (INS/GPS) Fly-by-Wire Night Navigation/Attack (Incl. Bomb, Rocket Delivery) Probe Refuelling Terrain Following (Land: 200ft (60.9m), Sea: 100ft (30.5m)) Military Static Thrust at S/L: should be 6562, (64.35 kN). Afterburner Static Thrust at S/L:: should be 9700, (95.13 kN). Military Static SFC at S/L: should be 0.92. Specific fuel flow with full AB: should be 2.12. Stores: #1786 - Rubis Navigation Pod [FLIR] should be removed, same from all and any loadouts. France only used it on Mirage F1CR from 1999 to 2003. -<<Following proposals only applies to the specific platform # and assume that aforementioned changes have been applied first and >>- #70 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 1996 Name: could be named Mirage 2000D R1 Date: should be changed to 1995 (first Sqn. operational from March 29th 1994, however before 1995 there have been multiple subversions (R1N1L that could only use Laser guided weaps, R1N1 that couldn't use any Laser guided weaps nor rockets) each with their very own capabilities but when the Mirage D actually went to combat, they were all, afaik, to the same standard, which is R1). Sensors: no #3891 - DDM-2000 Loadouts: Loadouts wit 2 AS.30L or BGL-1000 are not operational. Only 12 BAT.100 or BAT.120 fits on Mirage 2000, not 18 (that was on Mirage III/V). Loadouts with 4 BLG.66 Belouga CB or T.250 bombs would not allow a 1300 liter drop tank to be carried along. As far as I know, loadouts with 8 bombs, be it T.200 or T.25, simply couldn't fit. #69 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 1998 Name: could be named Mirage 2000D R1 (GBU) Date: make it 1999 to have a version for operation "Allied Force". Sensors: no #3891 - DDM-2000 Mounts: add 1x Eclair that brings 2*8 Flares + 1x Eclair again that provides 1* 18 Chaffs. It was fitted at the expense of the drogue parachute during Allied Force (on Mirage 2000C during Desert Storm too btw). Eg. https://flic.kr/p/hxfBo9 Stores: - Delete #1029 - BLG.66 Belouga CB [151 x Anti-Tank Bomblets] -- 1980, they are banned since 1996. - Delete #823 - GBU-22/B Paveway III LGB [Mk82] (only came in 2011). - Delete #871 - GBU-24A/B Paveway III LGB [BLU-109/B] (only came in 2011). - Add #1771 - Atlis II Pod [EO + LRMTS, 12k ft] -- 1986. - Add #1814 - Mk82 500lb LDGP. Loadouts: - Loadouts wit 2 AS.30L or BGL-1000 are not operational. - Only 12 BAT.100 or BAT.120 fits, not 18. - Loadouts with 4 T.250 bombs would not allow a 1300 liter drop tank to be carried along. - As far as I know, loadouts with 8 bombs, be it T.200 or T.25, simply couldn't fit. - GBU-12D/B LGB + PDLCT loadout can be cloned and the PDLCT replaced by an #1771 - Atlis II Pod [EO + LRMTS, 12k ft] -- 1986 pod, its camera does offer a better definition (IRL, not sure it does in COMANO). - A loadout with 4 T.25 bombs can be cloned and T.25 replaced by #1814 - Mk82 500lb LDGP - Delete BLG.66 Belouga loadouts. - Delete GBU-22 and GBU-24 loadouts. #1282 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 2000 Name: could be named Mirage 2000D R2 Date: make it 2001, first R2 came in the summer of that year. Sensors: add #1673 - Generic Binoculars -- Anti-Air & Surface (the pilot uses while the WSO (NOSA,"Navigateur officier systèmes d’armes", in French parlance) use the pod. Mounts: add 1 LLC (Lance-Leurres de Crête) that adds 48 flares (6*8), eg. http://i.gyazo.com/c769d36ae92e0a3e1dbd753851cb75ae.png T.25 250kg Stores: - Delete #823 - GBU-22/B Paveway III LGB [Mk82] (only came in 2011). - Delete #871 - GBU-24A/B Paveway III LGB [BLU-109/B] (only came in 2011). - Add #1771 - Atlis II Pod [EO + LRMTS, 12k ft] -- 1986. - Delete #1508 - T.25 250kg GPB (no more dumb bombs). - Delete #1507 - T.200 400kg GPB (no more dumb bombs). I thus think that a dedicated platform is not necessary. Sensors: add #1673 - Generic Binoculars -- Anti-Air & Surface (the pilot uses while the WSO (NOSA,"Navigateur officier systèmes d’armes", in French parlance) use the pod. Mounts: add 1 LLC (Lance-Leurres de Crête) that adds 48 flares (6*8), eg. http://i.gyazo.com/c769d36ae92e0a3e1dbd753851cb75ae.png T.25 250kg Stores: - Delete #823 - GBU-22/B Paveway III LGB [Mk82] (only came in 2011). - Delete #871 - GBU-24A/B Paveway III LGB [BLU-109/B] (only came in 2011). - Delete #1508 - T.25 250kg GPB (no more dumb bombs). - Delete #1507 - T.200 400kg GPB (no more dumb bombs). - Delete #1892 - AS.30L -- 1989 (too expensive to maintain). - Delete #1033 - BAP.100 Anti-Runway (not needed anymore since stand-off are available). - Delete #1561 - BAT.120 Anti-Armour (idem). - Add #1771 - Atlis II Pod [EO + LRMTS, 12k ft] -- 1986. - Add #333 - SCALP EG -- 2004. Updates fitted in between have no use in COMANO (eg. Flight Recorder, Rover). Sensors: add #1673 - Generic Binoculars -- Anti-Air & Surface (the pilot uses while the WSO (NOSA,"Navigateur officier systèmes d’armes", in French parlance) use the pod. Mounts: add 1 LLC (Lance-Leurres de Crête) that adds 48 flares (6*8), eg. http://i.gyazo.com/c769d36ae92e0a3e1dbd753851cb75ae.png T.25 250kg Stores: - Delete #823 - GBU-22/B Paveway III LGB [Mk82] (only came in 2011). - Delete #871 - GBU-24A/B Paveway III LGB [BLU-109/B] (only came in 2011). - Delete #1508 - T.25 250kg GPB (no more dumb bombs). - Delete #1507 - T.200 400kg GPB (no more dumb bombs). - Delete #1892 - AS.30L -- 1989 (too expensive to maintain). - Delete #1033 - BAP.100 Anti-Runway (not needed anymore since stand-off are available). - Delete #1561 - BAT.120 Anti-Armour (idem). - Add #1771 - Atlis II Pod [EO + LRMTS, 12k ft] -- 1986. - Add #2061 - GBU-49/B Paveway II GPS/LGB [Mk82] Loadouts: - Delete AS.30L, BAT.100, BAT.120 fits, T.25 250kg, T.200 400kg, GBU-22 and GBU-24 loadouts. - GBU-12D/B LGB and GBU-49 + PDLCT loadout can be cloned and the PDLCT replaced by an #1771 - Atlis II Pod [EO + LRMTS, 12k ft] -- 1986 pod, its camera does offer a better definition (IRL, not sure it does in COMANO). - Make R.550 Magic 2 Mk2 optional as either only one or none are usually carried over Afghanistan (1 is kept to help find the tanker, due to poor A/A abilities of the radar) - Clone aicraft #1715's GBU-49 loadout Comms/Datalinks: - add Link 16 JTIDS - VHF/FM Radio (Secure), 1 Channel (for Air-to-Ground comms, especially when IED jammer are used by troops on the ground) #1715 - Mirage 2000D -- France (Air Force), 2011 Name: could be named Mirage 2000D R2.1 (Harmattan) Sensors: add #1673 - Generic Binoculars -- Anti-Air & Surface (the pilot uses while the WSO (NOSA,"Navigateur officier systèmes d’armes", in French parlance) use the pod. Comms/Datalinks: - add Link 16 JTIDS - VHF/FM Radio (Secure), 1 Channel (for Air-to-Ground comms, especially when IED jammer are used by troops on the ground) Hope it helps. Edit: typo andf further researchs tends to prove that 2 GBU-12 were carried from the start (early version of Rafaut AUF-2).
