Do you intend to do a second WITW, with the North Africa Campaigns, Poland, the Low Countries, France? If so, will it be prior to WITE 2?

They have said they would do a 39-40, then a 41-42. The first focused on the German victories, the 2nd on the war in Africa. I have not seen anything related to WITE2, but I'm sure they are thinking about it.

I think the gist is finish out WitW before WiTE2.0

From a Joel Billings post:
quote:

Our next game will be War in the West 43-45 which will be the same scale as WitE and will include a more robust air game with the land campaigns and strategic bombing. After that we plan on War in the West 40 (which will include Norway, France, England and the Med, and add a new detailed naval system) and War in the West 41-42 which will focus on the Med. War in the West 43-45 will have campaigns that start in the summer of 43 and the summer of 44, as well as shorter scenarios. We have an alpha map for all of Europe (including the Soviet Union to east of the Urals), North Africa and the Middle East). We plan to use this map to eventually produce a WitE 2.0 which would fit in with the War in the West products and allow us to fill in a complete War in Europe. Of course, this will take many years.

Most of this information has been given out before in various forum posts, but I wanted to post this again to clear things up. I'm sure many of you have questions about the details, but I'd ask you hold those questions and let us focus on development. We'll give you more information in the future as we move along in development and you'll have plenty of time to ask questions.

Yes, we're planning on some additional west front products before we go back to the east, although we'll be getting the map (and possibly data) ready in the east during this time.

Imagine a map from England to North Africa to the Urals...that would be the mother of all strategy games. Some AI assistance mode would be great, to automate certain theaters, so that you could, for example: only play as Rommel in North Africa, while the AI manages the rest of the fronts.

Bomb those Ploesti oil fields!! I worked in a pharmacy and this crusty old judge came in all the time. He was a pilot in one of the bombers in that area, and boy he used to throw out some fiery language about bombing Ploesti.

Since there is part of Spain done by now, perhaps you could do some little expansion later that would cover the Spanish Civil War? I would love to lead the CNT-FAI and their revolution in Catalonia! Fighting on the Aragon front with Orwell would be something to remember.
