A few questions regarding the German OOB in the 1943-45 Campaign.

1) Several infantry division were disbanded between November '43 and March '44 that are included in the OOB, namely 112, 113, 123, 137, 141 and 143, I was wondering if they automatically disbanded in game or left in place.

2) The same question as above applies to the 18th Panzer division which was deactivated in September '43 and was converted to the 18th Artillery division.

3) Quite a few Reserve/Training and late war divisions of dubious combat worth are included in the OOB(not complaining, it's nice to see) but on the other hand quite a few that saw more combat than e.g the Berlin inf division are not e.g. 163, 169, 193, 226, 357, 413, 526 and 545th to name just a few, I wondered if there was any particular reason for this.

Other types of division I noticed were absent include:

6th Mountain
8th Mountain
2nd Cossack Cavalry
90th Panzergrenadier
2nd Herman Georing Panzergrenadier
1st Marine
2nd Marine
3rd Marine
1st Ski Jager
104th Jager

4) I may have missed them but I also don't see the 19th SS, 24th SS or 27th SS divisions or there brigade sized predecessors.

5) And finally I noticed that the 239th Infantry division is in the East Front box at the beginning of the campaign although in the list of units in the editor it has a delay of 2000, is this a bug/mistake as the division was destroyed in December 1941 at Kharkov and was never reformed.

Some of the units I mentioned above I may have missed in the OOB, if I have please forgive my errors.

1. Its left up to the player to disband units to include airgroups.

2. 18th Pz was deactivated due to combat losses. We don't force this on the players. The 18th Pz is not present in the 1944 Campaigns.

3. Most of you units that you mention are in the OOB - 163rd, 169th, 193rd (Infantry Regiment), 357th, 545th VolksGren are all in. 226th Probably needs to be added. I don't have much info on the rest. 413 zBv was disbanded in June 1942. No info on 526h.

Most that you mention are in:

6th Mountain - EF Box under 20th Gebirgs Armee
8th Mountain - Is named 157th Mountain the game which is what it spent most of the war as its designation.
2nd Cossack Cavalry - could be added.
90th Panzergrenadier Division - It starts in Sardinia
2nd Herman Goering PzG Division - Arrives in EF Box in Sep 44
Marine Divisions - could be added
1st Ski Jager - 1st Skijager Brigade arrives in the EF Box on Sep 43. It upgrades into a division later.
104th Jager - Missed that one. It will need to be added.

4.

19th SS - arrives in EF Box in Apr 44
24th SS - needs to be added
27th SS - needs to be added (it is in the 44 Campaigns)

5. Agreed. 239th should be taken out.

Thx for that Trey, I new I'd miss some in the game and include them in my list, comes with staring at pages of listings with a blinding head cold for 3 days.

There was a second 413 reserve division raised on 11th July 1943 in Nurnberg, WK XIII as a replacement for the 173 reserve division.

The Division Nr. 526 Aachen was formed on 28th September 1942 from the Division Staff Aachen, which was itself formed from the 526th Infantry divsion on 20th December 1941, it was sent to the Western front in August 1944 and fought at Aachen.

The 545th Grenadier division was formed 10th July 1944 as a 'sperr division' or blocking divsion(29th Welle/wave) by Wk XII and was upgraded to a Volkgrenadier division on 9th october 1944, it fought on the Eastern front.

The other infantry and/or reserve/replacement divisions I had were:

174 - Eastern Front Surrenderred in East Prussia 1945
300 - In game with a delay of 2046
359 - in game with a delay of 2041
402
405 - in combat early 1945
406 - Sent to Arnhem held part of West Wall from October 1944
407
413
433(mot) - in combat early 45, Eastern Front
438 - In combat early 45 East Front
549 - In game with a delay of 2060
561 - In game with a delay of 2063

If you need any further info on the above I'll see what I can find, my main source is George Tessins' Verbande und Truppen der Deutsche Wehrmacht und waffen SS 1939 -1945, volumes 1-16C
